Marid Illéa is a descent of Gregory Illéa, the very founder of Illéa. He is the son of August and Georgia Illéa, two old friends of Maxon and America. Marid Illéa tried to find his way into winning the crown over Eadlyn, and caused her to rush the ending of her Selection, even though it ended the way she wanted it: with a happily ever after in her own fairy tale romance.
